Cat Bad Breath: Causes and How to Fix It at Home

A faint smell of food right after eating is normal. A strong or lasting bad smell is not. In most cats, it means bacteria are building up on the teeth and gums. Dental disease is one of the most common health problems in adult cats, and it often starts by age 3.
